If your question is not listed here, then please contact us.

BackWPup uses the WordPress Cronjob system (WordPress Cron), to execute scheduled backup jobs. If no one visits your website for some time, it can lead to some trouble with the Cron.

In this case, a Cron job on the server needs to be set up, which regularly calls the URL http://yourdomain.com/wp-cron.php

BackWPup Free offers you some features for automated backups of your website. The Pro version offers you a lot more, see the full comparison page here.

Every time a backup is started, BackWPup checks if the job was started within 10 seconds. If the backup doesn’t start within 10 seconds, it shows an error message. Share this error message with our support team to fix it quickly.

You can also see this doc for further guidance.

Usually, this problem can be solved by setting the Maximum script execution time, a value that frequently works is 25 seconds.

This error message points toward your server running with 32-bit PHP. Please upgrade PHP to the 64-bit version if possible.

Contact your hosting provider for assistance. An upgrade to 64-bit should take care of the above problem.
